As our state and country confront the greatest public health crisis of our lifetime in 2020, the Church has been busy at work in parishes, serving communities in their time of need and will continue to do so. Public Masses are, once again, being celebrated after a three month suspension; and the faithful of the archdiocese are returning to their churches for community and worship with renewed faith as a result of this trial. Thanks to your generosity to the Renew & Rebuild Campaign, parishioners are returning to safer, updated, more structurally sound churches and worship spaces. While safety is a priority at the moment as a result of COVID-19, the Renew & Rebuild campaign was launched four years ago with safety and longevity in mind.
As we enter the campaign’s phase of pledge redemption, we encourage you to consider the important role your gift plays in the life of the Church during this difficult time. The local parish is where those in crisis turn for guidance, comfort, and assistance. The corporal and spiritual works of Mercy are being lived every day in every parish of the archdiocese: feeding the hungry, providing clothing and shelter for the needy, visiting the sick, and burying the dead. The list goes on. The fact is that the capital campaign projects that are made possible by the Renew & Rebuild Campaign, keep the lights on, the roofs secure, and our buildings in working order for all those who enter in search of assistance and fellowship. Thank you for your part in helping us serve the people of our counties and city during this difficult time.
